About Our School

Cochrane High School offers a four year instructional program that integrates academic instruction, personal development and vocational preparation.  We work with students to help them acquire the skills, attitudes and effort necessary for employment upon graduation from grade 12.  The newest technology and most recent requirements for the job market are constantly integrated into our program in consultation with the business community.
Students who successfully complete their grade 10, 11 and 12 requirements receive a grade 12 diploma from Saskatchewan Learning.

Our major focus at Cochrane Community High School is to provide students with relevant training for the trades and to connect students with work experience, employers and work sites, as much as possible, and in as many different ways as possible. This includes work study for grade 10 to 12 students, work place and job site tours or field trips, job shadowing and work experience mentoring for students.  We are expanding these experiences from grade 9 to 12 and integrating them across the curriculum in all subject areas.  Our students are provided with an opportunity to acquire a strong basis to enter the trades following graduation.

Each year over 80% of our grade 12 students find employment at the time of graduation.  Learning at Cochrane reaches far beyond the classroom and helps to build successful futures!
